4 stars – It was really good

A new elemental has arrived in Ashland. Salina might seem like a sweet southern belle but she is a dangerous water elemental who is determined to win back her family’s place in Ashland. But first, she has to take out everyone who wronged her in the past.

So much happened in this book and it was filled with shockers. We finally find out the history between Owen, Phillip and Eva. It was heartbreaking and shocking to learn it all, especially what happened to Eva. There is a water elemental in this one, the first in this series, and she is also part of their past. Salina is crazy but also very smart. Her past with Owen causes a lot of issues.

Owen’s actions in this book upset me a lot. I don’t understand how blind he could be or that he would continue to try and help Salina after learning the truth. His actions have caused a rift between him and Gin and it is killing me. I am so heartbroken for Gin because she truly loves him and I can’t stand to see them fighting. I have hope that things will work out but it is probably going to take time.

Overall, this was a very emotional one for Gin and the gang. I enjoyed that Gin is being true to herself even if it means tough decisions like saving her enemies or killing someone who definitely needs it. I am going to jump right into the next book because I need to see what is going to happen next with Gin and Owen.
