Welcome to another recommendations post! Since its my favorite month of the year, I decided that this month’s post would just be Halloween recs. I have compiled a list of books from all different genre’s to make it easier for those of you looking for a book to read.
Also, if you have any recs that I didn’t add, please add them to the comments. I am always looking for new books to read.
Classics:
- The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe
- H. P. Lovecraft The Complete Collections (Some stories are better than others. I really like The Shadow Over Innsmouth and At the Mountain of Madness).
- The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
- The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving
- Frankenstein by Mary Shelly
- Dracula by Bram Stoker (Also I highly recommend the audiobook with Tim Curry and Alan Cumming because it was really good.)
- The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson (Also I recommend the retelling of this story, Henrietta & Eleanor).
Graphic Novels:
- Monstress by Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda
- Hellboy series by Mike Mignola
- The Sandman series by Neil Gaiman (also I recommend the audiobook adaptation of this series.)
- Mooncakes by Wendy Xu and Suzanne Walker
- Garlic and the Vampire by Bree Paulsen
Young Adult:
- The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
- Coraline by Neil Gaiman
- Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas (this also can go into magic user category)
Books with Magical Small Towns:
- Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter
- Shadowvale series by Kristen Painter
- Mystic Bayou series by Molly Harper
- Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross (also goes into the next category, magic users).
Books with Magic Users:
- Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews
- Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews
- Raven duology by Patricia Briggs
- Baba Yaga series by Deborah Blake
- Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
Books with Demons:
- Demonica series by Larissa Ione
- Nightwalker series by Jacquelyn Frank
- Dark Protector series by Rebecca Zanetti (also a vampire series)

- Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian
- Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands
- Fangs by Sara Andersen (this is also a comic)

- Half-Moon Hollow series by Molly Harper
I can keep going but I think I am going to stop here. This is a larger group of books that I intended but I think it gives a wide variety of options. Again, if you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments because I always need book recs.
