4 stars – It was really good

Well this was a surprisingly steamy read! Deputy Cody Moore was a sweetheart who was struggling with his friend’s death. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for the Iara Widow that was sent to help track down the killer. He was just adorable, especially with his inexperience with sex and trying to flirt with Quellin.

Quellin was a tall, dark and handsome stranger who was immediately smitten with Cody. I adored Quellin just as much as Cody. He was protective, sweet, and surprisingly caring for Cody, especially after sex. Their relationship was steamy and sweet, which is my favorite kind, with some very steamy bondage scenes.

I enjoyed the hunt for the killer. I had figured out who it was pretty early, but there was still some surprises that I wasn’t expecting. I also loved all the little scenes with the previous couples and Marybelle. I adore Marybelle and her outspoken nature. I really hope she gets her own book in the future. Overall, this has been my favorite couple so far. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Stallion Ridge.
