Here is my original post about my potential summer TBR. I actually did a pretty good job this time, which surprised me considering I have been struggling with depression lately and I usually only reread things when things get bad. Hopefully my Fall TBR, which has been posted and can be found here, will be just as successful as this one was.

The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling
Read: Yes!

I didn’t realize that this book included stories about other creatures. I thought all of the stories were about Mowgli before I read this.

Again the Magic by Lisa Kleypas
Read: Yes!!

This was another enjoyable Kleypas book. I find that her books are hit and miss for me but this one I enjoyed.

The Ravenmaster: My Life with the Ravens at the Tower of London by Christopher Skaife
Read: Yes!

As someone who is not British, this book was fascinating. The position of Ravenmaster is very interesting and I really loved learning about its importance in history. Also I liked that Skaife has does everything he can to make the raven’s lives better but still keep them wild.

Lover Unveiled (Black Dagger Brotherhood #19) by J.R. Ward
Read: Yes!

Another enjoyable book for the series, even if the beginning was a bit slow.

Maus: A Survivor’s Tale by Art Spiegelman
Read: Yes!

This was a heartbreaking and emotional story of Art’s father. It was very impactful and does a great job at explaining how the holocaust effected the next generation.

Four Hundred Souls edited by Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha N. Blain
Read: Yes!

This was a great history of African Americans. I really enjoyed the audiobook because it was narrated by the authors themselves and it was great hearing their different perspectives.

Heard to Serve by Laura Kaye
Reread: No
I forgot this was on my TBR to reread this season. Hopefully I will get to it before the end of the year because I have reread almost all of her other books this year.

Olivier by Brenda Rothert
Read: No
This was another book that I forgot about. Hopefully I do get to it soon though.

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
Read: No
My plan was to reread this book but I haven’t felt in the mood for YA books lately. I never finished this series and I really wanted to read it this year but we will see if I actually pick it up.

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
Read: No
Like Inkheart, I haven’t read this one because its a YA and I have to be in the mood for that. I do hope to pick it up soon though.
I read 6 out of the 10 which I consider a win. I am going to strive to read all the books on my fall TBR this time. I really want to see at least one completed TBR this year.
