4 stars – It was really good

Dr. Eos Rai has spent a lifetime searching for the long-lost Mona Lisa. When she uncovers evidence of Star’s End, the last known location of the masterpiece, she has to turn to the notorious Phoenix brothers to find it.

This was a wonderful, action packed adventure set in space. I liked Dathan when he was young in Among Galactic Ruins, and now older Dathan is just as arrogant and determined as he was then, just more experienced now. I really enjoyed watching him fall in love and struggle with his feelings.

“Every adventure I’ve ever had pales in comparison to you.”

Eos was a wonderful heroine. She was smart, courageous, and really dedicated to her work of preserving history. I found her markings to be interesting and I like that we are seeing more of the different types of life in this world.

I think my favorite thing about this series is the artifacts. It is fascinating to see normal Terran (Earth) things being famous pieces of history, like a watch. Anna Hackett always does an amazing job at creating wonderful worlds filled with great characters, and great treasure hunts.
