4 stars – It was really good

For Agent Clemeny’s newest mission, she is tracking down an old werewolf threat to determine what they are up to. This mission ends up taking her all over London to fight against werewolves, vampires, and demons.

This was another action packed mission but also a very emotional one. Clemeny has started developing feelings for Agent Edwin Hunter but their relationship is still hidden from the rest of the Red Capes. With the new werewolf threat, Sir Richard Lionheart is needed to contain it, which means facing her feelings for him again. I usually hate any kind of love triangle but this one I am actually ok with because she isn’t trying to pit these two men against each other. She is just trying to figure out what she wants for her future.

In this book we get to see more of Agent Hunter’s skills against demons and it was fascinating. We also get to spend some time with Agent Briarwood and the vampires she hunts. I wasn’t expecting a vampire hunt during this book but I enjoyed it, even if it was surprisingly messy. I really want to learn more about her story and hope Karsak will write at least one book about her in the future.

Overall, this was another fascinating adventure for Clemeny. I do hope she figures out her relationship soon though because like I said, I don’t like love triangles really.
