3 stars – I liked it

Born and raised an assassin in the Hunter program, Cain has found himself in Miami for a much needed break. Instead he finds himself saving a woman from a sniper and becoming her new bodyguard.

This was another action packed story for the Hunters. Cain’s story was an interesting one because he joined up with other Hunters for a while. I found this fascinating and really loved meeting all his brothers. Cain was a protective alpha male, like all the Breed males are. I liked him for the most part but did get a little bored with his frequent reasons for pushing Marina away.

Marina was a very interesting woman. Her uncle was part of the mob so she has spent her life surrounded by bodyguards. While she is knowledgeable about the evil of the world, she was very naïve about her uncle. She definitely had blinders on when it came to him, which I found surprising after we learned more about her past. But overall I did like her. Also I loved that she was covered in tattoos because she is one of the few female characters in this series, and in the Midnight Breed series, that has had tattoos.

Overall, this was an enjoyable couple and story. I loved learning about the Hunter house and can’t wait to learn more about them.
