This was an emotional and action-packed adventure for the Order. Micah is so much like his father Teagan. He is aloof, deadly, and not good at showing emotion. I really enjoyed the progression of his feelings for Phaedra and the mistakes he made with her. He was a great hero who needed a strong partner like Phaedra to become even greater. Also, Teagan’s scenes at the beginning of this book were so emotional and heartbreaking, I just wanted to hug him.
Phaedra was introduced in Midnight Unleashed. I found her to be a wonderful and kind heroine with a heart of steel. She wasn’t afraid to fight but preferred to care for and protect people in other ways. I loved that she ran a women’s shelter and her dedication to helping people. She was the perfect partner for Micah. I can see these two playing a main role in the future of the Order.
The progression of the story plot was fascinating in this one. We learn more about the Atlanteans and the Ancients. I enjoyed the return of Jenna and Brock in this book. I love when a previous couple gets some page time. The revelations at the ending of this book were crazy and I can’t wait to see how it will play out in the next book.
