4 stars – It was really good

Charlotte McBee has come to Mystic Bayou to be the midwife of Jillian and her unborn egg. What she doesn’t expect is to find herself attracted to a man who is under a curse.

I really enjoyed Charlotte and Leonard’s story. Their relationship was a slow building one (at least for this series) as they had to work through Leonard’s fear of his curse and possible outcomes if it was tampered with or removed. Leonard was such a sweet guy that I couldn’t help but love him instantly. Charlotte was a fascinating fae and I do hope we see more of her in future books, especially since it seems there will be more babies.

Overall, this was a wonderful novella and a great couple. I love that we are getting more stories in this series and that we are starting to see the changes going on in the world since the secret is out now. I can’t wait to listen to the next book.
