3 stars – I liked it

In this novella, vampire warrior Mathias Rowan is on a case to solve a string of brutal slayings in London that are all connected by a tattoo. The trail leads to tattoo artist Nova, who also is a Breedmate. Mathias and Nova have an instant love relationship that moves extremely fast, but I still enjoyed it.

Nova was my favorite part of this story. I loved that we finally have a heroine who is covered in tattoos and piercings. She was unique and her Breedmate ability was fascinating. Her past was a mystery though and I hate that we never got more information about why she was avoiding them. Overall, this was a quick novella that I enjoyed but wish we could have had more backstory for.
