5 out of 5 stars
5 stars – I loved it!

This book was just as good as it was the first time I read it (and the second and the third). This is one of my favorite contemporary series and is one that I always find myself picking up when I am having a rough time. This book has hot sexy tattooed men, snarky siblings, and a smart heroine who isn’t afraid to stand up to the men.

“Becca was the light to his dark.”

I absolutely adored Nick and Becca. They are one of my favorite couples of all time. Yes, their relationship was an instalove one but it was written beautifully. Nick was everything I love in a hero. He was dangerous, protective, and a little grumpy. He goes out of his way to protect Becca but doesn’t refuse to listen to her perspective or cage her. Becca is a wonderful and caring woman who wants to take care of everyone. She goes out of her way to take care of everyone on the team and I adored her for it.

The events that brought Nick and Becca together are fascinating and captivating. It does not get solved in this book so expect to read the whole series if you want to see the conclusion. One of my favorite parts of this book though is the secondary characters. Nick’s team were all great characters who I can’t wait to learn more about. Also his brother Jeremy was a great little brother. I loved his humor and his love for crazy shirts.

Overall, this is a great book with amazing characters. I will continue to recommend this series any chance I get because it is just so good.

Trigger warnings: References to the death of Becca’s brother who died from a drug overdose; death of parents referenced; death of comrades in war; torture; PTSD; human trafficking
