This was a great start to a new series. I really love that Abe it’s back with the bureau. He struggles to deal with all the deaths but he doesn’t hesitate to go back out in the field for answers.
The ending of this volume was very unexpected and I can’t wait to see how it plays out.

In this volume, Hellboy finally returns to Earth and is helping the B.R.P.D. deal with the demon threat. Unfortunately, Hellboy is no longer as willing to fight as he was before.
This was an interesting one. Hellboy is back but he isn’t the same. He doesn’t have that drive to fight and kill monsters anymore. There is also more going on with his return that hasn’t been revealed yet but I can’t wait.
I am liking this storyline a lot. I love that the old gang is back together and fighting monsters again. Also I love that Liz has a boyfriend finally.

This is the conclusion of Hellboy, Abe, Liz and the B.R.P.D’s story. This was an action packed conclusion that is both sad and satisfying. This was the ending for Hellboy that I expected. Mignola has been hinting from the beginning that it would be Hellboy, Liz and Abe that would end the world and rebuild it and we finally get to see all those storylines come together.
While I am sad that this is the end of the B.R.P.D. and this world, it was a wonderful journey. Now I am going to read all the other Mignolaverse stories so I can continue to live in this rich world of monsters.
