Hello!
This is a series that I have wanted to start for a while now and I finally have gotten around to doing it. I am hoping to post one of these every month, most likely on a Sunday, with a different topic. My plan is to have each post have at least 5 books but there may be more or less in some of the posts. I just feel like 5 is a good number. Also the topics won’t all be romance focused but the majority of them most likely will because that is what I read the most of.
In this post I have included 8 different paranormal series that I think are must reads. All of these I have read multiple times at this point and most likely will reread again in the future. I hope you enjoy this post and find a new book to read.
Dark Protectors series By Rebecca Zanetti

This series has vampires, demons, witches and shifters. Its a great series with lots of action, great characters, and some steamy romances. Also these are fated mates stories.
Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian
- 17 books with multiple novellas
- ongoing series
This series is about a group of Breed warriors that are fighting to keep rogue vampires in check. They also are fighting a enemy that is striving to take over the Breed and the world.
Also the Breed (vampires) in this series are fascinating because they have markings all over their bodies and the amount indicates what generation they are.
Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter

This series is filled with paranormal creatures all in the magical town of Nocturne Falls. They are all sweet and lighthearted romances.
Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward
- 19 books with novellas
- ongoing series
A vampire brotherhood with protective alpha males and kickass females.
Psy-Changling series by Nalini Singh
- 20 books with novellas and short stories
- ongoing spin-off series
This is one of my favorite shifter series. The dynamics between the different packs, the psychics, and the humans are fascinating. I also love the psych abilities portrayed in this series and how they are all connected.
Pride series by Shelly Laurenston
- 9 books
- ended but their is an ongoing spin-off series
Another shifter based series. This one is over the top with humor, crazy characters and hybrid shifters. Its fun and a great series if you are looking for a laugh and over-the-top story.
Ghostwalker series by Christine Feehan
- 17 books
- ongoing
This is a military paranormal romance with psychic abilities and enhanced bodies from experimentation. They willingly joined the program but the scientist went beyond what the soldiers were told so they have a lot of complications with their abilities.
This series has elements of fated mates because the men have been genetically paired with women who complement their abilities.
Demonica series by Larissa Ione
- 20 books with novellas
- ongoing
This is a series all about demons, gods, and angels. It is one of the most unique demon series I have ever read and each book features a different couple. Also this series includes the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
