Title: The Bodyguard
Author: Anna Hackett
Series: Norcross #4
Pages: 264

Princess Sofia of Caldova is in San Francisco to help promote a royal jewelry exhibition and raise money for her charity. Unfortunately, her stalker has followed her and someone is stealing the gems making their way to the exhibition. Bodyguard Rome Nash is determined to keep the princess safe, even from his feelings.
This was an enjoyable romantic suspense story with a surprisingly spunky princess and a grumpy bodyguard. Rome was a surprisingly sweet guy. He has been a background character throughout this series and we finally get to learn more about him. He struggles with the guilt of losing a sibling and it has made him determined to protect everyone under his care. Rome was just a sweet and protective hero who I instantly liked.
Princess Sofia was a surprise for me. I wasn’t expecting to like her as much as I did. She is the proper princess in public but behind closed doors she was a normal as she could be. I liked how she took certain things into her own hands instead of waiting for authorities to do it. She was courageous and wasn’t afraid to do dangerous things. I really liked that about her.
Sofia and Rome were just a very cute couple and I loved every minute of their relationship. Now can we please have Vander’s book. I really need to know more about the mysterious Norcross brother.
Trigger Warnings:
- Attempted kidnapping
- Stalking
- References to the kidnapping and death of Rome’s sister when they were children
