Title: The Mane Attraction
Author: Shelly Laurenston
Series: Pride #3
Pages: 385

Sissy Mae and Mitch Shaw have been friends since they met. When Mitch gets injured after her brother’s wedding, Sissy decides to take him to her hometown in Tennessee for safe keeping. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow.
Sissy Mae is a shitstarter and loves to make people angry. Because of her bullying of Jessica throughout their childhood she is not my favorite character, but I actually liked her in this book. She had a surprisingly sweet side with Mitch that I liked. She was still pretty deadly and loved starting shit but we see more than that in this book. Mitch was ok. I didn’t love how lazy he was. Also he complained a lot.
This is a much slower paced relationship than the previous two. These two are friends first and we get to see their progression into a relationship, which I like, but there were a few times that were slightly boring. Also there’s a whole mystery with a witch in this one that isn’t explained very well, especially since it concerns Sissy but we never know why.
Overall, I still liked this couple but wish the story had a little better pacing and development.
