“Trust me, pups, one day you’ll find that male who makes you love him, care for him, and want to stab him in the face all at the same time. And your lives will never be the same.” (from Shaw’s Tail)

Christmas Pride:

5 out of 5 stars
5 stars – I loved it!

Mace Llewellyn has finally left the military and is on the hunt for the one woman he has always loved. He hasn’t seen her in 20 years but he will find her and she will be his.

Mace and Desiree are one of my favorite couples in this series. Mace is a demanding alpha male lion who has always wanted Dez. I loved his dedication to Dez. He knew when he was a child that she was the one for him and now will do everything he can to convince her. Dez was a kickass female. She is a smart ass cop who loves dogs, which is hilarious since Mace is a lion. I loved how strong and dangerous she was and that Mace supported her career and drive to help people.

I also really love all the side characters in these stories. They are all well developed and solid characters, also pretty hilarious as well.

Shaw’s Tail:

4 stars out of five
4 stars – It was really good

Brenden Shaw is one of the Llewellyn pride’s breeders. He stays for his kids but he no longer has a relationship with any of the females. When he gets hurt and ends up in the hospital the only person who stays is Ronnie Lee Reed of the Smith Pack. He is instantly attracted to her and knows she is the one.

These two were a riot. Ronnie Lee is a wild child who is trying to tame her wild ways since she is now thirty. It’s not working out great, especially with a friend like Sissy Mae, but she is trying. Falling into bed with lion shifter Brenden Shaw is not in her plans, but she can’t resist him. I really enjoyed their relationship. It was fun and steamy. Also has roleplaying scenes which were fun.

Overall, this was a great start to the Pride series. These two stories have great characters and do a great job introducing the main characters in future books. Also if you love hilarious and smart ass characters, this series is probably for you.
