5 stars – I loved it!

“Charles belonged to Anna with all his complicated soul and uncomplicated heart.”

Patricia Briggs has done it again! I couldn’t put this book down. Anna and Charles are one of my favorite couples and I get so giddy any times a new book comes out. This book was just what I was expecting for a Charles and Anna mission, especially since Tag was along in this one. These three actually worked really well together and I enjoyed Tag’s craziness.  Also I love how much Charles and Anna’s relationship has progressed since the first book.

The enemy they are fighting was very interesting. Everything leading up to the reveal of what this creature was and the fight against it was fascinating. I couldn’t put the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen, especially since it ties into Leah’s past. Briggs has done an amazing job at changing my feelings about a hated character. There is a lot more to Leah than expected and I now don’t hate her character.

The ending of this book was both amazing and heartbreaking. I was not expecting the end and it will be one that I think of for a long time. It changes everything for Charles and Anna and I wonder how the series will progress now.

Also I loved that this book introduces a new kind of shifter and I really hope they appear in future books.

  1. Great review and glad to hear it was enjoyable! Hopefully, I can get to reading this one this year because I’ve missed Anna and Charles so much.
