4 stars – It was really good

All Zack Sheridan wants to do is become Alpha Male of the Magnus pack and be left alone. Instead he is falling for an insane, scarred female who is the alpha female of his dreams. But first they have to deal with some stray cats.

This book was just as crazy as I remembered it being. Sara, Miki, and Angelina were crazy but amazing friends. I loved how they were so accepting of all their quirks and of there being shifters. The crazy friendships are one of the reasons why I constantly reread Laurenston’s books. She does a great job at creating unique characters who you just want to keep visiting.

Sara and Zack have an instant/fated mate relationship. As soon as they meet they are attracted to each other. Zack instantly knows she is the one for him but Sara doesn’t understand that at first, but quickly realizes he is the only one she wants. Their relationship was intense, filled with steamy sex, and quite a few injuries. I enjoyed how crazy some of the conversations between these two were and it made for a fun and enjoyable read.

Overall, a great start to a series and a great introduction to this world of Packs and Prides. I can’t wait to read the next one and see Sara’s two crazy friends fall in love.

Trigger warning: graphic death of an animal
