#FaeFriday: Why do you blog?

#FaeFriday is a weekly book tag created by Kristy at CaffeinatedFae, who is also the creator of the tag image above.

Here’s the rules:

  • Link back to this page on Caffeinated Fae.
  • If the prompt idea comes from another blog, link to that blog as well.
  • Use #FaeFriday when posting to social media so we can all find each other!
  • Participate when you can and have fun with the prompt!

It’s #FaeFriday and it’s time to talk about ourselves! That is why this week’s prompt is:

Why do you blog?

I started blogging because in 2019 I challenged myself to review every book I read. After a few weeks of doing this, I found that I actually really enjoyed writing reviews for what I read. It was great being able to write my feelings about what I read for a change. I don’t have anyone to talk to about books, so this was a perfect way for me to write my feelings. It also was helpful for my future self to see why I rated a book a certain way. I read a lot of books, so I use to struggle to remember what happened in some of them.

This newfound love of reviewing prompted me to consider making a book blog to share my reviews outside of Goodreads. I waffled on it for a while but during the Christmas break in 2019 I decided I should at least try it to see if I enjoyed it. So I spent that week building this blog, and now over a year later I am still really enjoying it.

  1. I also love writing review. I was afraid of writing reviews initial and had no idea how should I write it but after some time I got so used to it that my blog always and still has been review based.
