4 stars – It was really good

Freshly single Rosie Holiday is on the hunt for passion and excitement. When her high school ex returns back to town, she realizes this is the perfect opportunity for a no-strings attached fling.

This was a fun, flirty, and sexy read. Rosie and Leo had a secret relationship in high school that ended when Leo abruptly left. Rosie goes into this fling expecting Leo to leave again but they both realize they don’t want it to end. Leo brings excitement and passion back into Rosie’s life. Even with this supposed to be a casual fling, these two really cared for each other and all their years apart didn’t change that.

I really enjoyed how Leo liked to give control to Rosie. It really allowed her to feel empowered and embrace her sexuality. This was just a great romance about sex positivity and exploration, also the importance of communication. Also, I liked that Rosie had UTI issues. This is something that is rarely talked about in romance but it happens to a lot of people. I liked that this book shows that you can still embrace your sexuality with this issue, you just have to be prepared.
