4 stars – It was really good

The last thing Commander Kaira Chand of the Australian Air Force expects is to instantly mate with the handsome alien warrior, Medical Commander Thane Kann-Eon, right before they are abducted by the deadly Kantos. Now these two have to work together to escape from the Kantos and stop them from unleashing a deadly new weapon against the Eon, while dealing with their mating.

This book was an action packed adventure from the very first chapter. Kaira is a strong and fierce heroine, who I instantly fell in love with. Because of the loss of her husband and father, she is terrified of risking her heart again but Thane slowly worms his way in. Kaira was just a great heroine who has had a heartbreaking few years.

Thane is a healer who never expected to find his mate. He realizes how special Kaira is from the beginning but doesn’t push her to accept the mating. He was even willing to let Kaira leave if she decided she didn’t want to complete the mating. Thane was a surprisingly sweet and gentle warrior. I loved that this fated mating didn’t mean instant love. They both were surprised by the mating and their feelings came with the more they learned about each other.

In this book we also find out more about the Kantos and why they are so aggressive at taking over everything, which was quite fascinating. They also have a new weapon that is imperative that is stopped. I can’t wait to read the next book to find out how they deal with the Kantos new threat. Also the next book is with King Gayel which I can’t wait for! I am so excited to learn more about the king of the Eon.
