Review: Heartstopper Vol. 1-3 by Alice Oseman

I didn’t feel like writing a more detailed review for the whole series so here are just some mini reviews for them. I read the series for free on Webtoon.

Title: Heartstopper Vol 1
Author: Alice Oseman
Genre: YA LGBTQ
Pages: 288

4 stars
4 stars – It was really good

TW: Harassment by ex; forced kiss; references of bullying

This volume contains Chapters 1 and 2 from the Webcomic.

Omg, this comic is just adorable. Today I realized this was available through Webtoon and I went and binge read everything that was available. Charlie and Nick were adorable. I loved their friendship and that it led to a relationship. Also I loved all the supportive friends.

Title: Heartstopper Vol 2
Pages: 320
Read:  January 23, 2021

5 stars
5 stars – I loved it!

TW: references to bullying, homophobic slurs used by another character

This is chapter 3 from the webcomic.

This comic is just so adorable. I can’t get enough of Charlie and Nick.  These two have finally admitted their feelings for each other and have started officially dating. They are keeping it a secret for now. There is just so much love between these two and I can’t get enough of them.

Title: Heartstopper Vol 3
Pages: 384
Read: January 23, 2021

5 stars
5 stars – I loved it!

TW: bullying, eating disorders, self-harm

This is Chapter 4 from the webcomic.

Charlie and Nick are officially dating and are starting to share that with their friends and family. They take a school trip to Paris where they get to spend a lot of time together. Charlie and NIck also have some very heavy discussions about their mental health but they don’t get solved in this issue. But I do like that those topics are at least being discussed.

Also I really loved their friends and teachers. They were so supportive at every turn. They are the kind of friends that you know you can rely on no matter what is happening.
