WWW Wednesday | January 13, 2021

Hello everyone! It’s time for this week’s WWW Wednesday post! I can’t believe we are already in the second week of 2021! It’s going both fast and slow at the same time for me.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. The three questions to answer are:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am still reading Burning the Books. I have made it about halfway through it. It has gotten better but the writing style does make it confusing at times.

I started reading Rare Book Librarianship for some continued education. I am considering expanding my degree to include rare books but that would cost money and involve a lot of training. This book is a way for me to see if it is something that I might actually want to pursue.

I am almost done with the Cyborg Sizzle series. I started reading Taking Vengeance, book 9, yesterday.

What did you recently finish reading?

I have read quite a few books since last week. Yesterday, I finished the ARC of Fire Maidens: Venice which came out today!

I also have been rereading the Cyborg Sizzle series. These books are very short (around 150 pages) so I have been finished multiple a day. I am doing mini reviews for the series since they are so short. They will be posted later this week with books 3.5-7 in the first post.

I started reading the Abe Sapien comics by Mike Mignola. I loved Hellboy and have been meaning to read this series for a while now but keep forgetting about it. This year I am going to do a Mignolaverse Readathon and try to read all the BRPD/ Hellboy/ Abe Sapien and other books that take place in this world.

I read Kristen Painter’s newest release, Lost in Las Vegas, which was my first favorite book of the year! I love that we are getting more Jayne and Sinclair mysteries.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I will continue the Cyborg Sizzle series. I also have a few ARCs that will be due soon so I will be reading those. Hopefully they are good ones.
