ARC Review: Fire Maidens: Venice by Anna Lowe

Cover for Fire Maidens: Venice by Anna Lowe

Title: Fire Maidens: Venice

Author: Anna Lowe

Series: Billionaires & Bodyguards #7

4 stars out of five
4 stars – It was really good

Ten years ago, lion shifter Tony Pelligrini was forced to flee Venice after being framed for murder. Now he is back and knee deep in another plot, but this time with the beautiful ecologist Cara Alari.

I really enjoyed Tony and Cara’s book. Cara was a smart woman who wasn’t afraid to defend herself or her friends. She will make a great Fire Maiden because she isn’t afraid to stand up to the old Guardians or do what is right for Venice, even if it isn’t visible right away. I liked that we see her actually using her degree to implement change in Venice.

Tony was a protective alpha male who had a lot of honor. He knows returning is a bad idea but he still does it because his instinct is telling him he needs to be there. Because of his honor, he is able to save another person and find the true criminals behind the killing 10 years ago.  I liked that Tony finally can clear his name and return to his family and home. I have liked him since he was introduced and I was so glad to see him finally have a happy ending.

Overall, this was a great addition to this series. I really enjoyed both of the characters and their adventures to find the bad guys. I can’t wait to read Theo’s book because I know that playboy is going to fall hard for his mate.
