3 stars – I liked it

When two of Matt’s employees run off to Vegas to elope he is left with no one to run the alien themed escape room. He prepares to close the room until he can get someone new hired when it walks a beautiful woman dressed as an extremely realistic alien. He quickly realizes she really is an alien and he doesn’t want to let her go.

This was a fun alien romance. Matt was overprotective of all women but he means well. I liked his internal monologue to himself. It was quite hilarious at times. Inara was a very fascinating alien. I wish her POV had been given throughout the book because I would have loved to know what was going through her head during some of the scenes.

Also, I should note that I have only read the first two books of this series but I had no problems understanding what was going on in this book. It did a pretty good job as just a standalone story. I am interested in going back and reading the rest of the series now though because her huge alien brothers seem to be hiding gooey insides, which is my favorite kind of hero.

Overall, this was a fun alien romance with a very unique alien. I really loved how unique Inara was and how they hid her alienness while exploring Chicago.
