3 stars – I liked it

When the Sandman comes to Santa’s Workshop to do his first ever book signing, Jayne does everything she can for it to be perfect. But when Luna Nyx, the Mistress of Nightmares, and Sandman’s ex-wife, shows up things start going wrong.

Another eventful adventure for Jayne Frost! While I enjoyed this one, it was easy to figure out who the bad guy was. Tempest, aka the Sandman, was an interesting and unique figure, and so was his wife. I kind of wish there was a short story with just Tempest and Luna because I think it would be fascinating to learn more about them and their abilities.

There is only a little progression with Jayne’s relationship with Cooper and Greyson in this book. Mostly they are just very helpful with tracking down leads and supporting Jayne, which while I still enjoyed, I was hoping for more.

The next book looks to be interesting, especially since this one ends with a surprise appearance from an old friend. I really can’t wait for her parents to come to Nocturne Falls though because I really want to know more about Jack Frost.
