4 stars out of five
4 stars – It was really good

Getting arrested wasn’t a part of werewolf Ivy Kincaid’s plans when she came to Nocturne Falls. At least she doesn’t have to spend money on a hotel while in lock up, but unfortunately the man she came to marry is the sheriff. Not the best first impression to make.

Another fun, entertaining, and easy to read book from Kristen Painter. Sheriff Hank Merrow is the first born son of the alpha. He knows that one day he might have to agree to an arranged marriage for the safety of the pack. What he doesn’t expect is for it to come from the Kincaid wolves, the Merrows enemies. Hank was a sweet man. He was an Army Ranger, now a sheriff, and is an all around good guy. I really liked him, especially with him being so accepting of Charlie.

Ivy Kincaid has had a rough life. Her father is a controlling and abusive alpha who is now forcing her into an arranged marriage. Ivy was an ok heroine. I felt that she should have owned up to everything from the beginning especially since she quickly realized how honorable Hank was. Overall, she was just ok. I do feel like she was a good mom though who was stuck in a rough situation.

Overall, this was a great addition to the series. It was another instalove storyline but still reasonable and fun. Hank and Ivy made a great addition to the town of Nocturne Falls and I can’t wait to get reacquainted with the next couple.
