5 stars – I loved it!

When Kate Daniels is called to investigate a fight at the Steel Horse, she discovers there is a new villain in town. One who has been around for thousands of years, and has fought by her father’s side.

I was addicted to this series by the end of book one, but this book is where I really started loving it. I think this series gets better each time I read it! This book was just nonstop action, suspense, and romance!

Kate is such an amazing and deadly female. I love her so much! She always puts everyone else around her first, especially her friends. In this book, she finally admits that she doesn’t want to be a psychopathic killer like her stepfather wanted her to be. She wants a life, a mate, and her friends. When those things are at risk, she fights with everything in her to protect them, even if it means she dies.

Kate and Curran start off on the wrong foot, again, in the beginning but they finally put their pride aside and admit their feelings. I really fell in love with Curran in this book. He acts like an ass for a little bit in this one but it’s all because he is super territorial of Kate and afraid of losing her. He is just a great alpha male who I know will get better as the books continue.

This book is definitely a turning point in the series because so much changes in a short period of time. Kate and Curran finally become a couple! There are changes regarding her work and she is definitely no longer trying to hide from her father. This was an excellent book and I can’t wait to dive right into the next book.
