3 stars – I liked it

When T’chai almost dies, Mari makes the horrible mistake of having the healer turn off their unfulfilled resonance. It was supposed to be temporary but months later it still won’t turn back on. They are determined to try and fix their issue, even if it means traveling to Croatoan to see help.

This was a very emotional relationship. Mari and T’chai have been struggling since they arrived at Icehome. They love each other but that hasn’t affected Mari’s khui at all. Their relationship really suffers and starts to look like they won’t work out. T’chai was surprisingly sweet and I really liked him. I loved that this relationship shows the importance of communication and that sex neccesary for relationship.

“Being your mate is about sharing your life. It is not just taking you into the furs and making you scream my name. It is about being there for you when you are sad. It is about making you smile. It is about keeping you safe. It is about being happy together….I still want all of those things with you. Nothing has changed for me, my Mari.”

As with every book in this series, we get a lot of what is going on with the rest of the tribe as well. I liked that we get to see some of the other couples who live in Croatoan since it has been a while since they have been in this series. There is also a new human introduced and I am excited to learn more about her. Overall  I quite enjoyed these two and their happy ending. I can’t wait to read the next book and find out what happens to Raven.
