3 stars – I liked it

Alita has left Figure Four and has started a new life as a Tuned agent with new powers. It’s been 10 years since the events of volume 5. She is reunited with Koyomi, meets a blind psychometrist Kaos, and meets Den, the leader of Barjack.

Altia doesn’t seem as crazy as previous volumes. I really liked her Zalem partner Lou. I am enjoying this Barjack arc because it is very unique compared to the other stories. I am very interested in seeing where this story goes.

Zalem has created replicas of Alita to use as secret weapons. Alita must fight against the clones and Desty Nova. This volume was quite interesting. We have an epic fight against the clones. Alita is also trying to rescue Kaos from Desty Nova. Lots of action packed scenes like usual but this one also had a lot of sadness. Alita is finally reunited with Ido. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next, especially since it is the last volume.

Alita storms Nova’s laboratory and learns the horrifying truth about the Zalemites. The truth of which causes many Zalemites to go insane. While Nova puts up a fight he does eventually lose the battle. This volume contains the canonical ending of Alita and an alternative ending that was published under a different comic label.

I quite enjoyed the ending of this comic. I liked both endings but I think I like the alternative ending the best because it has more of a change of a HEA for Alita, which I think she needs. As always with this series, this was an action packed volume that had me hooked from the very beginning. I am so glad I read this series and I am a little sad that it is over but it was a good ending.
