#FaeFriday: Hurt So Good

#FaeFriday is a weekly book tag created by Kristy at CaffeinatedFae, who is also the creator of the tag image above.

Here’s the rules:

  • Link back to this page on Caffeinated Fae.
  • If the prompt idea comes from another blog, link to that blog as well.
  • Use #FaeFriday when posting to social media so we can all find each other!
  • Participate when you can and have fun with the prompt!

Autumn is in the air, and the autumn court is in the spotlight. The autumn court is full of strange and beautiful faes who can have a slight sadistic side. This week’s prompt is dedicated to those sadists, which is why this curious wannabe fae wants to know:

What are some of your go-to authors that make it hurt so good?

I am going to interpret this as authors that make me feel all the emotions. I have two that immediately come to mind.

J.R. Ward

Her books are always very captivating and emotional. The Black Dagger Brotherhood series is filled with a lot of emotional ups and downs for the brothers and their mates. One book in particular makes me bawl like a baby every time I read it. Ward just makes you feel everything in this series, including frustration and anger.

Anna Hackett

Hackett is my go to author to make me feel good. Even when shit is hitting the fan I know that there will be a happy ending with her books. I love the dynamic of suspense and romance with her books. She is an autobuy author for me and I know I have mentioned her many times in these bookish posts.

Also if you have been following my blog this year you know I have spent a lot of time rereading her books this year, because I need all the happiness I can get.

There are so many authors I could list for this prompt but I will just leave it with these two.
