5 stars – I loved it!

Space station security specialist Sam Santos has been fighting to survive since she was abducted by alien slavers. Everything changes when the Imperator of the House of Galen sacrifices his freedom to help her in the arena. Galen has vowed to keep her safe and take down Zaabah but it will take more than just the House of Galen to bring it down.

After ten books we finally have Galen’s story! Galen has been the cool and controlled Imperator of the House of Galen for years. He never lets anyone close until he meets the fierce champion of Zaabah. Sam was the perfect woman for Galen because she is a strong and deadly warrior but she also has a kind side. She is a partner and asset to the House of Galen. I just really loved Sam and Galen.

“I’ll be your shield, your protector, your champion. Wherever you need me, I’ll stand beside you, behind you, or kneel at your feet. Whatever you need.”

Sam was a fascinating woman. She could survive in the area but also loved the finer things in life, like good food. I loved the different sides of her and that she was unpredictable. She was just the perfect woman for Galen because she would keep him on his toes.

As with all of the books in this series, this one was an action packed adventure with some steamy romance. We finally have the fall of Zaabah and the end of the House of Thrax. I loved that we finally got to see all the houses working together to destroy this evil enterprise. I can’t get enough of this gladiator filled world and I am so glad we are getting a side series featuring the cyborgs.

If you are looking for action packed romance filled with hunky alien gladiators, check this series out.
