4 stars – It was really good

Maggie Haven, formerly known as Lady Lily the Female Bounty Hunter, is now living a respectable life as a teacher with her son. Until the morning paper informs her the man she loved and thought dead is actually alive.

I knew as soon as I finished the first book, The Mail-Order Bride Carries a Gun, that I would be reading this book. I loved Boone in the first book and needed to know his story. I really enjoyed this one. Boone and Maggie are finally getting their chance to have a future together. Their marriage was very quick and passionate and three years apart has not changed that. I loved watching these two fight their feelings and then fight for their love.

I really love the brotherhood at the Sweet Creek Ranch. These men have seen the worst of life but have banded together as brothers and continue to save others. I can’t get enough of these brothers! If you are looking for a great historical romance, check out this series.
