It doesn’t matter what letter in the LGBTQ+ alphabet you are, you are valid, accepted, and loved. July 31st is a day to celebrate the fantastic people who make up the LGBTQ+ community. That is why the prompt this week is:
What is your favorite book that features LGBTQ+ characters?
High Heat by Annabeth Albert is my new favorite LGBTQ+ books. It is book 2 in the Hotshot series, which is about smokejumpers. Garrett is pan and Rain is gay. This book was an emotional ride that I couldn’t get enough of. Garrett and Rain were an adorable couple who had to work through a lot of pain.
Also you should know that Garrett was injured during a jump and is now dealing with potentially lifelong disabilities., which is another reason why I chose this book for this topic. It was the 30th anniversary of the ADA on the Sunday.
