3 stars – I liked it

Second Commander Airen Kann-Fellis has fought hard for her career and is proud to work on the Rengard. She has no time for men but the handsome and smart Sub-Captain makes her want to give in.

I am so excited that we finally get a female Eon warriors perspective. Airen is a dangerous warrior who has dedicated her life to her career. She has no family and has some major trust issues. Donovan is also dedicated to his career. He doesnโ€™t believe in love after seeing love destroy his family. These two both have a lot of trust issues and pain to work through while fighting for their lives.

While not my favorite in the series, I still really enjoyed this one. I can always count on Hackett to create a unique world with great characters and a lot of action. I am looking forward to the next book since it seems that it will potentially be set on Earth.
