4 stars – It was really good

Sue Perkins, former Bake Off host and comedian, presents thirteen episodes about some weird and interesting facts about the animal kingdom. These short but informative episodes were packed with weird and disturbing facts about some of the world’s animals, such as the kangaroo or capuchin monkey.

I learned a lot of weird and interesting facts from this audio series. Capuchins are weird. Kangaroos are a lot scarier than I realized and have three vaginas, which is weird. The Mexican Salamander, aka axolotl, is cute but also apparently tastes good. Also look up a Pink Fairy Armadillo and see how weird it is.

Each of these episodes was fascinating and I wish there was more. I loved Sue’s narration and quips throughout the series. I also loved the clips of comedy in the episodes. Overall, this was a fascinating and fun look at some very weird animals. I loved how this was presented and hope she does more fact based series like this.
