4 stars – It was really good

When the Vampire Prince Damian realizes the Lycanthrope princess has been kidnapped he follows intent on saving her before Ruth kills her. What he doesn’t expect is the longing for a relationship with the princess.

We are finally getting a look at the vampire culture! I really enjoyed this book. Damian has been a helpful but still very aloof character throughout the series and I just have been dying to know more. Damian is almost a thousand years old but has never felt love. Syreena awakens something inside him that the vampire race lost hundreds of years ago, true mates. I really loved these two. They had chemistry, they were a deadly fighting force, and they truly cared about the future of their race. They are definitely a power couple who make amazing leaders.

I really enjoyed the progression of the overall story in this one. Ruth is gaining more power and gathering allies. The nightwalker races are starting to work together for the first time in hundreds of years. And the library is revealing its secrets. Overall, this was a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next.
