4 stars – It was really good

Loreli Winters never imagines she would be a mail order bride. But when two little girls keep asking her to be their new momma she can’t resist, even if their uncle doesn’t approve of her. Jake Reed knows he needs to find a mother for his nieces but independent Loreli might be more than he can handle.

I adored these two. Loreli is an independent, wealthy woman who is just looking for a new life. She plans on continuing to California but can’t say no to two beautiful girls who need a mother. I loved Lorelei. She was strong, determined, and kind. While she may be a gambler and had a shady past she is a good person who is trying to make a new life for herself.

Jake Reed thinks that this arrangement between him and Loreli will be easy and over soon. What he doesn’t expect is to fall in love with her with every new thing he learns about her. Watching him struggle to control his feelings was so good. I love that he was the inexperienced one in the relationship and Loreli had to teach him. It was so hot!

Overall, I loved this book. The characters were all amazing, the romance was hot, and the plot was solid. I cannot get enough of Jenkins writing and am so glad my library has a lot of her books.
