Title: Jacob
Author: Jacquelyn Frank
Series: Nightwalkers #1
Pages: 376

It has been seven years since I read this series and I figured it was way past time to revisit it. I remember loving this series and I am glad to find that I still love it.
Jacob, the Enforcer for the Nightwalkers, has policed his kind for centuries. He has resisted temptation for over 700 years but when he meets Isabella everything changes. Nothing will be the same for him or his people ever again because Isabella is the key to saving their people.
“You are the king of my world”…“And you are the queen who rules over my heart. Bella”
Jacob is a protective, dangerous, and lonely demon. He has been his race’s boogeyman for hundreds of years and the majority of people fear him. While on the hunt for a demon who had been summoned he stumbles across Isabella and finds she is clearly not an ordinary human. I love a protective alpha male character and Jacob totally embodies that. The relationship that develops between Jacob and Bella is so strong and this is even before they mate. Isabella is perfect for Jacob because she brings light back into his life and helps him live again.
Isabella has a normal boring life until she meets Jacob. She learns the true history of their race, she finds a prophecy, and she kicks some major butt. I really liked her and her snarkiness. She is just the perfect person to get the demon nation out of the past and into the future.
I am so glad I decided to revisit this series, and that I still enjoy it. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series because I really don’t remember anything that happens anymore. It will be like I am reading it for the first time.
If you are looking for a paranormal romance with demons I suggest you check out this series. It might be just what you are looking for.
I read this many, many years ago but never followed through with the series. I might need to do a reread.

I last reread them in 2013. I don’t remember any of it though.
