5 out of 5 stars
5 stars – I loved it!

Finally John Matthew and Xhex’s book!!!

Xhex has been stuck in a prison made by Lash for weeks and every day she loses more strength fighting him. She expects to die a prisoner and regrets her actions with the one male she wants, John Matthew. JM never gave up looking for her, even after he believes she has died he still keeps fighting to avenge her.

I have been waiting for this book forever and it was so worth the wait. JM and Xhex’s story was an emotional rollercoaster filled with pain, heartache, and a lot of action. I loved every moment of it and came close to tears a few times. Watching John support and comfort Xhex after she was freed was heartbreaking and just made me love him more. John Matthew is everything I love in a great hero. He was strong, determined, protective, and very supportive of Xhex and her abilities. He might not like that she fights but he accepts that part of her and provides back up. Xhex is one of my favorite females in this series. She is a very unique and kickass female that I just can’t help but love her. I love that she does have a softer side that comes out occasionally. I just adore these two and can’t wait to see more of them.

Of course there are also other things going on in this book. Blay and Quinn are struggling to fight their feelings throughout this book. I cannot wait to reread their books because it’s a good one. There are also more scenes with Payne in this book and I can’t wait to see how it will play out.

Overall, another fantastic installment for the Black Dagger Brotherhood and I can’t wait to start the next book (which will be right away).
