Brigid Banaghan is a talented hacker who got caught and now is being forced to work with the Deep Ops unit. When Brigid’s father becomes implicated with Boston organized crime, Brigid and Raider have to play the engaged couple to find the answers to clear him or implicate him.
The sexual tension between Raider and Brigid has been there since they were introduced. It was just a matter of time before they took the plunge. I quite enjoyed learning more about Raider and Brigid. We learned in the last book, Taken, that Raider grew up in foster care and created his own family. After learning about him it makes sense as to why he is so controlling and well put together.
Brigid is a hacker who got caught and went to jail because of it. She got out only to help with the Deep Ops group. We meet her father and see where she grew up. I liked her dad. He was a tough old man who took no shit. Brigid has been attracted to Raider since the beginning but she can finally act on her feelings now that they are playing the engaged couple. What she doesn’t expect is to develop real feelings and not want to let him go.
I enjoyed seeing these two fall in love in between fighting the bad guys. I really can’t wait to read the next book and see Wolfe fall. He may be crazy but he needs love too.
