3 stars – I enjoyed it

Artist Cloe Waters has inherited her grandparents house on the lake. When her life falls apart, she decides it’s time for a break and finds some peace in her grandmother’s old house. What she doesn’t expect is to find a treasure map, and a naked man swimming in her pond.

I enjoyed this quick story by Chant. Cloe was an artist who lost her groove, her home, and her ex all at once. Now she is trying to repair her life and make her grandmother’s home livable again. I really liked her. She was strong, determined, and caring. Steven was a loner bear shifter who is occasionally brought in to hunt other rogue shifters. He doesn’t trust his feelings for Cloe because he is afraid of becoming his father. I liked these two and thought they had a sweet romance.

Overall, a great story and I will pick up more from this series in the future. If you are looking for fun and sweet shifter romances check out Zoe Chant’s books.
