4 stars – It was really good

This may be surprising but I have never read Winnie the Pooh. My mother is a huge fan but she never bought or read the books to us. When I saw this was on Audible Stories I figured I would finally read this childhood classic.

Each chapter of this is a new adventure for Pooh and the gang. It was like watching the movie but with more details basically. I enjoyed most of the characters but found a few things that surprise me about these stories. I never knew Eeyore was so negative. I know he was always depressed and sad but he is actually pretty negative when he is talking.  My other issue was about the narrating itself. When Piglet was talking he was always snorting, duh he is a pig, but it got really annoying when he talked a lot because it was every few words a snort. This probably wouldn’t have bothered me if I had read the book but as an audiobook it was.

Overall, I enjoyed these stories of Pooh and the gang. I can see why they are such a children’s classic and I would totally read these to my nieces and younger cousins.
