#FaeFriday is a Friday book tag created by CaffeinatedFae, who is also the creator of the tag image.
This week on #FaeFriday, is all about sparkles! So this week’s prompt is:
What is a book cover that was so beautiful you couldn’t stop staring at it?
Cover’s are one thing that can get me to give a book a chance. I know the saying is ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ but sadly it’s something that we all do. A good cover is a great way to catch my attention and get me to read a book. I still read books with bad covers but a good cover will really sell the book.
Here are three books that I bought just for the covers.
I love the Barnes & Noble Collector editions of classics and I have quite a few of them. I bought the Jane Austen collection and Arabian Nights books first and that started my urge to buy more of them. Now I have a whole shelf of them and want more of them.
Here are the links to these three books so you can get a better look at the covers.
- Jane Austen’s Seven Novels (this looks like a newer version of mine but you get the idea of what it looks like)
- The Arabian Nights
- Aesop’s Fables Illustrated
- Alice’s Adventure’s In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (I forgot about this one and it was also an instant buy when I saw the cover. Also I don’t like pink so I usually don’t like pink books but I love this one.)
