Title: Fire Maidens: Portugal

Series: Billionaires & Bodyguards #4

3 stars out of 5
3 stars – I liked it

New dragon shifter, Laura Sampao, has always known that her family is descendants of dragon shifters but never expected to shift herself. Now she has and needs help controlling her dragon side. Marco da Silva is heir to a guardian position in Portugal but refuses to take the seat. When he comes across Laura flying, badly, away from an enemy dragon he steps in to help. Even though he is instantly attracted he refuses to let himself become attached to any woman after his ex’s betrayal. But fighting his feelings for Laura isn’t the only fight he has to deal with.

Laura is a strong, caring, and determined woman. I quite liked her. She was determined to master shifting and used her newfound skills to save herself in the end. Marco was the strong, grumpy dragon who is distrustful of women due to his ex. Laura was just the kind of person needed to break him out of his shell and live again. I really enjoyed seeing these two fall in love and fight for it.

Now that the enemies have been pushed out of Portugal I do wonder where they will strike next and how Finn will play a part in it. Finn was an interesting character and I really can’t wait to learn more about him.
