3 stars – I enjoyed it

Hattie came to Mars with the hope of starting a new life. Instead, everything seems to be falling apart and she might lose her home too if she can’t find someone else to help her. M-231, also known as Morgan, has been entranced with Hattie since she arrived on Mars but has never made a move or talked to her. When he finds out she needs a partner to keep her land he offers to help. Together these two must overcome their pasts, the environment, and a dangerous enemy.

This was a nice quick read. I liked the concept of this new settlement on Mars with Cyborgs police and homesteaders. Hattie was smart and resourceful. She built and slaved over her land and it shows. Morgan was closed off at first but quickly opened up when he realized Hattie truly cared. She didn’t care that he was a cyborg and saw him as a man. They had an instant love relationship but I still enjoyed it.

I am interested to see where this series goes and how they deal with GenCon in the future. Also I want to see more of these cyborgs and learn their backstories, especially Judge.
