Titles: Snow, Glass, Apples

Authors: Neil Gaimen and Julie Dillon

4 stars out of five
4 stars – It was really good

This was a beautiful and unique version of Snow White. In this retelling Snow White is actually the evil vampire monster who is causing all the problems. The step-mother queen is actually trying to save her people but it doesn’t work out in the end.

I loved the artwork for this comic. It was beautiful and unique. It worked perfectly for this story as well. I really fell in love with the clothing in this book. The Queen’s gowns were all so embellished and striking. Snow’s gown at the very end was beautiful and really portrayed how evil and powerful she was. I kind of want to make it because it was so beautiful.

Just look how beautiful they are:

The beautiful dresses. Queen (left). Snow (right).

The story was quite unique. I enjoyed this different perspective to this beloved story. It was dark, horrifying, and beautiful at the same time. I really recommend this comic if you are a fan of retellings, Neil Gaiman, and darker comics.
